Remarks: My father and mother came to California from Australia in a sailing vessel. I grew up with the city of San Francisco. I saw all the sand hills disappear and beautiful and substantial buildings erected in their place. In 1906 when I saw our beloved city in ruins I felt that I should never live to see it rebuilt. The progress that has been made in the past four years proves my mistake.

It was then located on Rincon Street near Dupont St. (Grant Avenue) and I also attended the Powell St. Methodist Church, Reverend J. Briggs Pastor.

Remarks: I was born September 7, 1841 in Perth, Australia. Came from South America with my parents, Feb. 28, 1849 to San Francisco in Brig Tassa. Father and mother both Pioneers, came at the same time. My father, Capt. Leonard Storry is a member of the Society of California Pioneers of S.F. My husband James H. Cochran came from Indiana, around the Horn, April 18, 1850 in the Schooner Spray. Mrs. Cochran joined The Association of Pioneer Women of California September 1st, 1900. Died at Sausalito January 20th 1903.
